SPORTS ILLUSTRATED ARTICLE
When I was a little kid, I had a subscription to Sports Illustrated. I would dive deeply into articles written by Rick Reilly, Armen Kateyian, Gary Smith, Rob Telander and Ralph Wiley and all the great sportswriters. I would just swim in those gorgeously-crafted sentences and paragraphs and think to myself, "Wouldn't it be cool if something I wrote made it into here?"
Decades later, it happened (on si.com through their blog, "The Cauldron").
