So here's what we did.
1. REMEMBER THE PAST.

When launching the new experience, we reached out to our biggest ambassadors: The admins who are the ones responsible for not only installing it but who have provided the feedback through the years to continually improve it.
We held a huge launch event party where we invited our 1,000 biggest MVPs. We also streamed our event live with 20,000 online viewers and we held 120 City Viewing Parties with 5,000 admins in attendance - all without any social media buy.
We created a film that showed the evolution of the CRM through the years. It was something that our MVPs had a hand in developing - and they got their first glimpse of the new look.
We then introduced the people responsible for the new UI and unveiled our new iconography system. Our hashtag, #struckbylighting, was a top 3 Twitter Trending Topic throughout the event. Our MVPs are rabid.
2. EMBRACE THE FUTURE.
Our new icons were a huge departure from our previous look. Dreamforce was a big place for us to make a big deal about them - this time, in front of 50,000 customers. We created a selfie station where our attendees turned their portraits into a series of small icons. We also held training sessions and speeches where we educated everyone about the potential they were about to untap.

3. MAKE IT HAPPEN.
With each new release, adoption of Salesforce Lightning is becoming more and more prevalent. And with that comes the opportunity to create new content to make flipping the switch so much easier.
With that being said, It was time to provide our admins with the tools to install it. So we created ebooks and this web page.
